This month is all about festivals so we've compiled a list of the Yamaha artists that will be performing at V and the Reading & Leeds Festivals. So if you are at one of the festivals and fancy some Yamaha artist spotting read on...

The festival season continues and we’ve got plenty of Yamaha reasons for you to enjoy V and Reading & Leeds Festivals.
V Festival
The V festival consistently wins the best kept toilets award every year and this is one, but not the only, reason why it is the Round Up team’s favourite major festival. The weather is always good (well, nearly) and they never let you down with the line up.
Travis – It’s good to have them back on the festival circuit with long standing Yamaha drummer Neil Primrose playing his Maple Custom Absolute kit.
Amy Winehouse – Whilst you may question her current performance standard you cannot knock her incredible band with Troy Miller on drums, Sam Best on S80 keys and Xan Blacq on S90ES.
Newton Faulkner – Still riding the wave of his excellent album ‘Hand Built By Robots’ Newton does a great live set. His percussionist Crispin ‘ Daddy Spry’ Robinson uses an Anton Fig Hip Gig drum kit.
The Hoosiers – They are doing the rounds of the festivals this year and are great fun live. Alfonso Sharland plays Maple Absolute Nouveau.
Air Traffic – This up and coming UK band are making it big in Europe having played to over 100,000 people in Werchter last month. Let’s hope they make the same impression here in the UK. David Jordan plays Maple Custom Absolute drums.
Squeeze – Glenn Tilbrook, master of the three minute pop song, and Chris Difford will be playing some of the bands greatest hits for you to sing along to. Glenn plays an LJX26C electro-acoustic and PACIFICA 1511 electric guitar.
Guillemots – Enjoying phenomenal success this year these are another must see band with Greig Stewart on Maple Custom Absolute.
And the list goes on. Other Yamaha artists that will be appearing are:
The Twang – Drummer Matt on Maple Custom Absolute.
Royworld – Drummer Gerry Morgan on Birch Custom Absolute.
Captain – Drummer Reuben Humphries on Recording Custom.
Reading & Leeds Festivals
This festival never wins awards for it’s toilets but you won’t care about that! The line up this year is LOUD so brace yourself!

Queens of the Stone Age – An amazing live band. Troy van Leeuwen (pic above) will be playing his signature guitar the SA503TVL
Metallica – The gods of rock are playing the festival at the end of their tour. Bass player Robert Trujillo is playing his new custom TRB bass in some of the shows so see if you can spot it!
The Fratellis – With their great anthemic hits expect a rowdy crowd as they jump along to Mince Fratelli’s drumming on his Birch Custom kit.
Editors – Still on an extensive tour of Europe, Editors pop back home to entertain the crowds. Ed Lay plays Yamaha drums.
Dirty Pretty Things – Their second album ‘Romance at Short Notice’ was released in June and the band are set to go back out on tour in October. Gary Powell provides the beat on his Stage Custom Nouveau kit.
The Subways – Set to be one of the highlights of the main stage. Look out for and energetic performance by Josh Morgan on his Maple Custom Absolute kit.
Ting Tings – Fresh from their amazing performance at Glastonbury, expect the NME/ Radio One stage to be absolutely rammed for this gig. Jules di Martino plays Maple Custom Absolute Drums.
Also on the bill are: CSS and Holy F*** both with Yamaha drummers and incredibly flamboyant performances.
